Cupping

Cupping has many benefits. It works by drawing out toxins and inflammation from the soft tissue layers within the body. The negative pressure and vasodilation assists with fluid exchange. This reaction pulls stagnation out of ischemic restricted areas and loosens adhesions. The fluid is then discharged thru the pores of the skin.

Treatable Conditions:

Cupping marks are not bruises. It is a result from stagnant blood or pathogens caused by an injury or illness that has been brought to the skins surface. Cups are usually left on from 3 to 5 minutes. Suction pressure can be modified for the desired outcome. Discoloration of the skin is common that may last a few minutes or several days. On occasion blistering or other fluids can surface. In general, I like to start with low to moderate suction pressure and will only use more pressure if this is discussed and approved by the client.
